AUTONOMOUS FLIGHT

All Verhagen helicopters can now be fitted for full autonomous flight! This means little or no pilot skills are needed, as a fail safe system will take over and keep the helicopter in the air if necessary (overrides are possible, of course, for stunts or 'on the edge' mission flying).

This latest development means Verhagen X2 helicopters can now undertake automated missions, like area patrol, surveillance, pipeline pre-maintenance observation or missions in unaccessible terrain. Excellent for wild life camera observation in the jungle or natural preserves, environmental and fire surveillance, or of course for tactical and reconnaissance operations, like border patrol. In the event of accidental or provoked crash unmanned flight of minihelicopters saves lives and al lot of financial investment.

Continuing development
The start of 2006 saw Verhagen move into a new field: electric helicopters. These whisper quiet whirly birds weigh only 4.5 kilo's and can lift twice that amount. This means that with a battery unit and a professional DVD movie camera, the Verhagen X2 E1 can fly for 15 minutes or 20 kilometres.
